During his tenure in London with Barton Willmore, since 2005, he excels with a wide ranging involvement in high-end residential, mixed use and commercial projects on behalf of land owners, public-listed companies, major developers, house builders and housing associations in both country and regional level. Melvin started his career working with multi discipline building firms to design architect, working from smaller one-off residential designs to high-end commercial developments. With over and above 20 years of experience in the architecture and corporate development sectors in the UK and South East Asia, he played an integral role in many iconic development projects, before expanding his extensive portfolios to Malaysia in 2012. Some noteworthy projects includes master planning strategic development for 128 acre Admiral City in Melaka, 500 acre Iconic Sabaidee master planning and architecture design in Vientiane, Laos and amongst other major developers and house builders in Malaysia. 

Having been in the UK since 1996, Melvin is now a Chartered Member of both the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Architects Registration Board (ARB) UK since 2007. He received numerous Design Commendation Awards, including 1st place Sheppard Robson Design Award upon finish his Diploma in Architecture RIBA Part II in 2003. Mr. Lim graduated in Bachelor of Honours in Architecture from University of Greenwich, (RIBA Part I) in year 1999 where he received LEADA Award for Creative Design in use of Energy Conservation.

He specialises focus on the creation of sustainable development strategies for urban and regional centres. A regular team leader, he helps multi- disciplinary designs achieve robust and tested solutions for large masterplanning projects. Benefits Adam brings to the project are: Development strategy leadership; Group facilitation and consensus building; Multidisciplinary project management; Options appraisal and evaluation; Client management and Internal quality assurance.

James joined Barton Willmore in 1987 having previously worked for local authorities and housing associations in the UK. He was a Senior Design Partner there for 21 years and ran the London office, refocused the team to the core skill of designing high quality, viable and sustainable developments that could always deliver added value. These developments varied from individual buildings to regeneration masterplans, both commercial and residential. His extensive involvement in the design and construction of a wide range of building types, from inception to completion allowed him to be keenly aware of how and where this added value can be achieved. He has considerable knowledge and experience of the planning system and has helped negotiate and steer many complex projects to success through design intervention and as acting as expert witness in planning Appeals. His particularly interest and skill is in the creation of mixed - use urban developments ensuring these projects, of whatever size, deliver integrated, viable and exceptional places to live and work.
